Formula Supplied

Stability Testing & Sampling for Your Existing Cosmetic Formula

Lab sampling in our Auckland studio plus 12-week accelerated stability testing (40°C / 75% RH). Timepoint reports at Weeks 0, 4, 8, 12, with a written stability report in Week 13. Scoped and priced to what your formula actually needs.

Why this exists

Bring us your formula. Walk away with stability data.

You have a formula. Before you scale, before you sign with a retailer, before you order 3,000 bottles — your formula needs lab-grade validation.

Formula Supplied is the bridge between a paper formula and a launch-ready product. We sample it in our Auckland studio, run a 12-week accelerated stability programme, and deliver the written report retailers ask for. Every project is scoped individually, because no two formulas need the same thing.

How we scope it

Two ways we can work.

Tap either option to see what it involves. Which one fits is something we work out together — it depends on what your formula actually needs.

StandardYour formula, as supplied

We take your formula as you have written it and put it through the programme: a prototype batch (up to 500ml) made in our Auckland lab, a 12-week accelerated stability run, timepoint reports at Weeks 0/4/8/12, and a written stability report in Week 13.

We will improve the formula where stability data demands it, but we work from your starting point rather than rebuilding it.

PremiumWith reformulation input

Everything in Standard, plus hands-on reformulation from our cosmetic chemistry team. Where the formula can be made better, more stable, or more manufacturable, we rebuild it and document every change so you can see what moved and why.

The prototype reflects our refined version, and we walk you through the final report on a call.

Add-onsOptional extras

Available alongside either option, quoted upfront and never surprise-added:

  • Preservative Efficacy Test (PET)
  • Packaging compatibility testing in your final retail packaging
  • Real-time stability programme run in parallel

What it costs

Most projects land between NZ$1,000 and NZ$3,000

We price to what the formula actually needs — complexity, number of variants, packaging, and how much reformulation is involved all move the number. We will not quote you before we have seen it, and there is no charge for that conversation.

Standard tests your formula as you supplied it. We make improvements where the stability data demands it, but we work from your starting point. Premium adds hands-on reformulation from our cosmetic chemistry team — we rebuild the formula where it makes sense and document every change. Which one suits you is something we work out on the call, once we have seen the formula.
