BluVLite

BluVLite

BluVLite is a powerful botanical complex that protects the skin from blue light and UV-induced stress. Enriched with extracts of butterfly pea, mangosteen, and pomegranate, it absorbs harmful HEV light while delivering antioxidant and anti-aging benefits. This advanced blend defends against digital ageing, supports collagen integrity, and helps maintain a radiant, youthful complexion in today’s screen-exposed world.

BluVLite is a cosmetic active complex formulated to shield skin from the harmful effects of high-energy visible (HEV) blue light (approx. 400 nm) and UV radiation. According to the manufacturer, its INCI (or key blend) includes Glycerin and extracts of Clitoria ternatea (butterfly pea) flower, Garcinia mangostana (mangosteen) peel and Punica granatum (pomegranate) peel. One data sheet cites that the complex: “contains a precious concentration of natural anthocyanin from blue pea extract; mangostin from mangosteen peel extract; and ellagic acid from pomegranate extract… can effectively absorb HEV light at 400 nm.”
Thus BluVLite is positioned as a protective, antioxidant‐rich blend tailored for “digital ageing” or barrier stress from screen and daylight exposure.

What it does

Bluvlite is a modern “digital-daylight” defender: it helps skin cope with blue light (HEV) from screens and sunlight, while backing your barrier with antioxidant support. In practice, it works two ways—by reducing the impact of visible blue wavelengths at the surface and by scavenging free radicals before they dull radiance. With regular use, skin looks less fatigued, tone appears more even, and the overall finish is brighter and smoother. It’s ideal for screen-heavy days, city commutes, and indoor–outdoor lifestyles.

Sensory & suitability

Expect a featherweight, water-light slip with a quick, non-sticky set. It layers cleanly under SPF and makeup and won’t leave a film or greasiness. Suitable for most skin types:

  • Dry/sensitive: cushions the tight, dehydrated feel and adds calm.

  • Combination/oily: hydration without heaviness; won’t clog the look.

  • Mature: supports luminosity and a more even-looking tone.
As always, patch test if you’re highly reactive to new actives.

Formulation notes

Bluvlite is water-soluble and happy in toners, essences, gel serums, light emulsions and sheet masks. It typically prefers mildly acidic to neutral pH and should be dosed in the cool-down phase to protect delicate components. It plays nicely with common build blocks (humectants, film formers, mild acids) and sits well in minimalist or fragrance-free systems. Validate compatibility with filters and preservatives in SPF or eye products, and run standard stability/compatibility checks against your base, packaging, and light exposure.

Complementary actives

  • Barrier & hydration: glycerin, hyaluronic acid, betaine, panthenol, ceramides, squalane.

  • Brightening & tone: niacinamide, vitamin C derivatives (e.g., Ascorbyl Glucoside), tranexamic acid, licorice extract.

  • Soothe & defend: allantoin, bisabolol, Centella asiatica, oat beta-glucan.

  • Texture polish (gentle): PHA/lactobionic acid at low levels to keep glow without sting.
Think of Bluvlite as the daily coach that makes stronger brighteners and antioxidants more wearable.

Scent, colour & aesthetics

Depending on source and standardisation, Bluvlite ranges from clear to pale-gold with a soft herbal note that generally fades in finished formulas. It improves spread and gives a refined, non-tacky slip—handy for sleek serums and milky hydrators that aim for “barely there” feel and a dewy, not greasy, finish.

Sustainability & sourcing

Look for suppliers who document traceable origin, low-impact extraction, and responsible farming/harvest where relevant. Concentrated actives allow lower use levels for the same effect, reducing formula load and packaging per use. Ask for data on solvent choice, energy use, and any certifications (e.g., COSMOS, ISO systems) to support your brand’s sustainability story.

On the label

Declare Bluvlite according to the exact INCI on your specification/COA (naming may vary by supplier and standardisation). List in descending concentration per local regs. Common claims supported by positioning and appropriate testing: blue-light defence, antioxidant protection, anti-pollution care, radiance, and tone evening. Align wording with your market’s rules and your finished-product data.
